Fish Cookery and Preparation

If you love fish but are unsure about how to prepare it, our Fish Cookery and Preparation course is the perfect opportunity to learn from the experts. Our experienced chefs will teach you the techniques needed to fillet, skin, and prepare a variety of fish, as well as how to create flavourful marinades, dressings, and sauces to complement your dishes.

In this hands-on course, you will learn how to select and prepare different types of fish, including shellfish, and how to cook them to perfection. You will also learn how to use a range of cooking methods, such as grilling, poaching, and frying, to bring out the natural flavours and textures of the fish.

Recipes may include-

  • Mussel and Bacon Chowder

  • Grilled Squid Salad with a Mint, Pistachio and Chilli Salsa

  • Mackerel with Harrissa and a Roasted Cauliflower Couscous

  • Classic Sole Meuniere with a warm green bean salad

The course runs from 10am to 3pm and includes a light lunch, all ingredients, and refreshments throughout the day. By the end of the course, you will have gained the confidence and skills needed to create a variety of delicious and healthy fish dishes for your friends and family.
